PetroMech Bobtail tank systems are engineered for safe, efficient, and high-performance LPG distribution. Designed in compliance with multiple international standards including AD 2000 Merkblätter, EN 12493, EN 13445, and ASME Code, these pressure vessels ensure maximum reliability in road transport and filling operations.

With a capacity range of 5 m³ to 30 m³, PetroMech bobtail tanks are optimized for mobile LPG delivery applications. The horizontal cylindrical body design provides excellent structural balance, while elliptical or hemispherical heads enhance pressure resistance and durability. All heads are optionally heat treated at 600°C to improve mechanical strength and long-term performance.

Material selection is based on high-grade pressure vessel steels such as SA 516 Gr 70, P355NH, P355NL1, and P355GH, ensuring superior toughness, weldability, and compliance with international fabrication requirements.

Designed for operational safety under demanding conditions, these tanks support design pressures up to 17.1 – 18 bar and test pressures up to 27.5 bar, with a temperature range from -20°C to +70°C. Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) is used for critical joints, ensuring deep penetration and high structural integrity.

Each PetroMech system undergoes rigorous non-destructive testing and quality assurance processes, including ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), penetrant testing (PT), and full hydrostatic pressure testing.

Surface protection is achieved through a multi-layer coating system, starting with sandblasting, followed by two layers of epoxy primer and two finishing paint layers, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance.
